The American Resort Development Association recognized Hospitality Resources and Design for the second year in a row at the 2012 National Conference in Las Vegas, NV. The Vacation Villas Activity Center located in Kissimmee, FL won the prestigious Silver Medal honor for its outstanding use of space planning and overall design concept. The color palette which included soft blues and teals against deep espresso furnishings makes for a dramatic but soothing space for resort guests to enjoy. The baths have colorful tile details and decorative vessel sinks placed on beautiful granite tops. The state-of-the-art building includes an inviting lobby, meeting and banquet space, a children’s activity room, a fitness room with breathtaking views of the water park and pool complete with cabanas, and a 1st floor lounge that boasts a golf simulator. The art is modern and perfectly compliments the scale of this expansive well planned space. Hospitality Resources and Design is a full service Interior Design Firm whose clients range from boutique hotel owners to large timeshare and hotel management companies.

Hospitality Resources and Design is pleased to offer their clients a wealth of knowledge and experience through a team approach. The design efforts are first carefully planned by Rich Budnik, President of HRD and Mary Daust, Vice President, LEED AP and licensed Interior Designer, who then collaborate with HRD team consisting of talented design professionals. Collectively, the concepts evolve from ideas to plans and shortly thereafter the projects take shape, developing into award winning spaces for guests and owners to enjoy.
ORLANDO, Florida (October 2011) – ‘A resort of international distinction …’ says Brian Welch of Resort Trades’ Management and Operations Magazine. Located in South Yarmouth, Mass., The Ocean Club on Smuggler’s Beach celebrated its grand re-opening of 63 beautiful ocean view and ocean front units in May of this year. The article goes on to describe how Mary Daust, Vice President, LEED AP and her design team developed the concept of a warm, inviting, ocean themed guest room that could be enjoyed year round. This design direction included ocean blues, teals, and creams, to maintain a light and airy feeling. The flooring was cleverly completed in a ‘wood-look’ plank tile to resemble drift wood tones but maintain long term functionality with the sand and surf just outside. The casegoods were kept light to suit the beautiful Cape Cod surroundings and the art pays homage the sea life and ocean views. The article continues on to explain how The Ocean Club on Smuggler’s Beach and Hospitatlity Resources and Design worked hand in hand to make sure that this multi-million dollar renovation would exceed guest’s expectations. Hospitality Resources and Design is a licensed Interior Design Firm located in Orlando, FL recognized nationally for their hotel and timeshare renovation and refurbishment.

Hospitality Resources & Design Revamps And Enhances Website

ORLANDO, Florida (September 2011) – HRD has spent the last several months redeveloping their website to feature several new projects, increase the informational content, improve the ease of use and perfect the overall appearance of the site.

An integral part of re-designing the website has been to highlight HRD’s exceeding aptitude in resort and timeshare interior design by showcasing several of the unique properties within their portfolio. “As part of our online portfolio, we feel it is important to show both Before and After photos of our projects to best illustrate how even the most timeworn property can be transformed into a fresh, up-to-date, and inviting space” shares Mary Daust, Vice President of HRD.

Another feature of the site’s refurbishment is the addition of the Sustainability page . This area gives HRD the opportunity to promote their knowledge of sustainable design and building practices, the importance of designing and planning to reduce environmental impact and specifying furnishings and finishes that promote a healthier interior environment. This section also features how they have integrated sustainable values into past projects and their own green practices within the office.

HRD is excited to have a dynamic website that will allow them to share newly completed projects, news about the company, industry events and other announcements relating to the hospitality design industry.
