Richard Budnik, President
Richard Budnik is the founder and owner of Hospitality Resources and Design and brings over 22 years of hospitality experience in FF&E procurement, operations, sales and business development to the company. As President, Richard is responsible for the sales and principal level management of all projects. Prior to establishing HRD in 2008, Richard was a primary partner in Mid-Florida Textiles incorporated in 1991 and Hospitality Design Solutions, created in 1994 where he was resonsible for sales, business development and management of the company.
Mary Daust, Vice President, FL Lic. ID5488
LEED AP ID+C, ASID
Mary has over 12 years of experience in Interior Design, sales, and project management. She is experienced in carefully listening to her client's needs, goals, budgets, and design intentions; resulting in numerous successful resort interior/exterior renovations. Rich Budnik and Mary Daust are the sales team for HRD and together they are the principal directors on all projects. Mary inspires HRD’s amazingly creative team of designers to ensure all clients goals and desires are heard and executed to the highest hospitality standards. In addition to being an award winning licensed Interior Designer, Mary is a LEED AP ID+C and she makes every effort on every project to ensure the HRD team along with construction partners do everything possible to reduce our environmental impact.
Cam Abascal, Sr. Assoc. Designer / Project Manager
With more than 20 years in sales, design and project management, Cam's exceptionally creative and practical approach to interior design is a valuable tool when communicating with both clients and trades. Coupled with a successful history in cutting edge kitchen and bath design her hospitality and commercial experience includes work in the timeshare, hotel and restaurant industries. She holds an ARDA Supplier Certificate and is an IDS Associate. Cam earned her B.A. from the University of South Florida and went on to become the Design Director in Central Florida for two of Florida's leading builders prior to joining the HRD team.
Beth Goodworth, Assoc. Designer / Project Manager
Beth joined the HRD team while completing her Interior Design degree and now has years of experience in the hospitality and commercial design industries. Her role as Associate Designer/Project Manager includes management of multiple, multi-million dollar projects simultaneously, procurement and material selections. Beth is highly motivated and driven to excel in all areas of Hospitality and Sustainable Design. Her extraordinary creativity combined with meticulous attention to detail make her a valuable asset on the design team. In addition to her Interior Design degree, she recently earned a Kitchen & Bath specialization design degree.
Heather Sozio, Design Assistant
After graduating Summa Cum Laude Heather made the decision to begin her Commercial Interior Design career at HRD. As one of the newest members to the design team, Heather brings sevens years experience in procurement and project coordination from an engineering background. In addition to these skills her exceptional talents of space planning, AutoCAD, presentation preparation, hospitality specifications and standards research, design library maintenance and material selection makes her an essential part of the team.
Michelle Martinez, Director of Purchasing / Accounting Manager
Michelle Martinez coordinates and manages all aspects of accounting, purchasing and financials along with new hire procedures and payroll for the HRD Team. Michelle was an Electronics Specialist in the banking industry for more than four years prior to joining Rich Budnik in 1998. Her valuable contributions for the past 13 years are unparalleled. Michelle is originally from Massachusetts and moved to Florida with her family as a child.
Ann Martin, Accounting Assistant
Ann is responsible for daily accounting support which includes purchasing, procurement, billing, payables and receivables. Prior to joining the HRD team in early 2011, Ann worked with Floriturf Sod for more than 11 years where she handled all aspects of accounting including purchasing, billing, and routing. Ann is orginally from Massachusetts.
